Jack Dale Kennon, age 82, of Nixa, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was born near Collins, Missouri, the son of Parley and Goldie Mae (Burchett) Kennon. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. During most of Jack's working career he was a furniture salesman.
Jack was an active member of the Cassidy United Methodist Church. His hobby was golf, and he was always ready for day on the course.
His wife, Mary Jane Kennon preceded Jack in death in 2011.
Survivors include: Two children, Brenda Thompson and Jackie Kennon, both of Springfield; three step-children, Lori Doran Whitlow of Dallas, Texas, Larry Doran of Springfield, and Lee Doran and wife Lisa of Nixa; six grandchildren, Nick Whitlow, Ashley Dye and husband Eric, Kainon Bouldin and wife Tiffany, MaKennon Doran, and Bailey and Bella Doran; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kaison Bouldin, and Raelyn Dye; and a sister, Linda of Jasper, Arkansas.
A Celebration of Life for Jack will be Wednesday, November 22, at 11:00 AM in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial with full military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
