Howard Warner Wells, age 93, a resident of The Baptist Home in Ozark, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015. He was born January 24, 1922 in Chillicothe, Missouri, the son of Warner and Sylvia (O'Dell) Wells. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was united in marriage to Frances Evelyn (Smith). She preceded him in death in 1968. He was also preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Mr. Wells was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe. He retired from Lambert Manufacturing in Chillicothe after many years. He lived in Cedars of Liberty Assisted Living for 20 years before becoming a resident of The Baptist Home this past spring.
Survivors include a son, Jim Wells and wife Judy of Ozark, a granddaughter Dana Bower of Springfield, and a great-granddaughter Anna Bower.
A graveside funeral will be Monday, December 14, in Braden Cemetery, Coloma, Missouri, with Rev. Jim Wells officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
