Heather Dawn Long, age 35 of Ozark, departed this life Sunday, October 21, 2018, from diabetes. She was born April 3, 1983 in Springfield, MO. In 2001 Heather graduated from Strafford High School, where she was crowned homecoming queen her senior year. On May 1, 2004 she and her High School sweetheart, David Long, were married.
Heather was a wonderful wife, mother and daughter, much loved by her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face. Heather was saved in her childhood and was so proud when her sons were saved. She believed in prayer and would always request prayer when she was in pain.
She was preceded in death by many family members who are rejoicing with her in Heaven today.
Survivors include: David Long, and sons Ryan and Brock Long of Ozark; her mother Kim Gibson of Ozark; her father Bill Sullivan of Springfield; brother Michael Sullivan and Heather of Republic; grandmother Sharon Mangan of Ozark; grandfather Francis Atterberry and Sue of Springfield; aunt Candy Turnbull and Ian of Nixa; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rhonda and Alan Long of Strafford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 24, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A graveside funeral will be 1:00 PM Thursday, October 25, in Highlandville Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the family for the benefit of Heather's sons.
