Hazel Angeline Rainey, age 96, of Ozark, passed away Sunday, May 27, in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born April 6, 1916, in Ozark, the daughter of John and Mary (Adams) Rainey. She graduated from Ozark High School. Following high school Hazel taught school in Billings for a year. She then moved to California where she served as a school librarian for many years. She returned to Ozark to be near family and friends. Hazel was a member of First Baptist Church of Ozark. Survivors include: A sister, Mable Bradley, Ozark; a brother, Roger Rainey and wife Dorothy Jean, Rogersville; a sister-in-law, Catherine Rainey, Ozark; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mary Ruth Rainey and Eula Fern Forbis, and three brothers, Homer Rainey, Leslie Rainey, and Ward Rainey. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 30, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Ozark City Cemetery.
