Hazel Knoefler entered the gates of Heaven on December 5, 2015. Hazel was born in Christian County, MO on May 1, 1930, the daughter of Robert and Reba Stutesmun. Hazel always loved children and as a young woman she worked as a nannie for local families in Burdette, Kansas. On April 25, 1951 she married Dale Knoefler. Hazel and Dale made their home in Jetmore, Kansas, where they enjoyed 29 years together before Dale's death in 1980.
Hazel spent the remainder of her life living in Highlandville, MO. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and cooking special treats for their visits. She also tremendously enjoyed reading her Bible and telling others of her beloved Jesus.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Dale, her parents, Robert and Reba Stutesmun, brothers Clell Stutesmun, Max Stutesmun, and Harold Stutesmun, and a sister, Lois Redfearn.
She is survived by two sisters, Mattie Witt of Highlandville and Earnestine and Fred Frazee of Osawatomie, KS, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 8, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.
Burial will be 9:00 AM Thursday, December 10, in Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, Kansas.
