Harry Robert Pfirrman, age 82, passed away, July 12, 2016, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born December 31, 1933, in Newark, NJ the son of Harry W. and J. Elsie (Buhl) Pfirrman.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Karen Dooling of Springfield, MO and Royston, GA, a daughter Lorina Marie and granddaughter Maria of Thessaloniki, Greece, mother-in-law Jane (Bencivengo) Dooling, brother-in-law David J. Dooling (Pamela Lawyer) both of Ozark, MO, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William Pfirrman, Sun City, AZ and Fred Pfirrman, Toms River, NJ.
Following his nine years of honorable service in the U.S. Air Force, Harry continued to work outside the U.S. as a military contractor for many years before returning to New Jersey and putting his expertise in Materials Management and Logistics to use in private industry.
He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Monmouth University in 1983, and his M.B.A. from Rutgers University Executive M.B.A. program in 1986. He also attended the Rutgers University School of Law. Prior to his retirement in 1997, he served six years as a U.S. Customs Inspector based at Newark International Airport. Following retirement, Harry moved to Royston, GA, moving finally to Ozark in June of this year.
Visitation will be July 14, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, MO. In accordance with his wishes, a funeral mass will be at 11:30 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark,
Interment with full military honors will be at 1:00 PM in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
