Harold Edwin Williams, age 83, of Bruner, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Mount Vernon Veterans Home. He was born May 6, 1929, in Macomb, Missouri, the son of Hiram and Mary Lou (Towe) Williams. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, successfully completing 50 combat missions. During his service to his country, Harold became disabled. On November 12, 1960, he and Geneva Marie Coffer were united in marriage. Harold was a gentle, kind man, reading scriptures and appreciating life. His faith was Messianic Judaism. Harold taught his children to love God and family. He enjoyed farming and his horses. Survivors include: His wife, Marie; two children, Kyle Williams and wife Sarah of Rogersville, and Pam Ash and husband Kelly of Sparta; five grandchildren, Stormy Phillips and husband Colt, Joshua Ash, Jeffrey Williams, Stacey Williams, and Jesse Ash; three great-grandchildren, Allison Phillips, Talon Phillips and Bristol Phillips; two sisters, Louise Harmon, Springfield, and Barbara Shorter and husband Harland, Huntsville, Alabama; his mother-in-law, Goldie Bauer, Sparta; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Williams, and a brother, Gerald Williams. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 11, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark with Rabbi Derf Eukel officiating. Burial will be in Swansville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 "� 7:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
