Harold Clinton Tennison

Harold Clinton Tennison, age 80, of Sparta, went to be with his Lord Saturday, February 23, 2019, following a sudden illness while tending his cattle. He was born April 15, 1938 in Hasty, Arkansas, the son of Frank and Elva (Earwood) Tennison. He moved to Sparta in 1964. Although Harold enjoying being a cattleman, farmer and logger, his first love was his Lord. He served as pastor for Hilltop Full Gospel Church for over 29 years. Harold shared the gospel with thousands through his ministry and music, and prayed continuously for his family, church and those in need. Survivors include: His wife, Twila; two children, Robin Dotson and wife Andrea of Sparta, and Gloria Jones of Nixa; four grandchildren, George Dotson, Daniel Dotson and wife Hannah, Levi Jones, and Savannah Jones; a great-grandson, Samuel; a brother, Pete Tennison of Sparta; many nieces and nephews; and a host of others who loved him. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia in 2011; a grandson, Hunter Jones; a step-son, Nathaniel Wilson; and seven brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 27, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 28, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery.
