Harold L. Larkin, age 79, of Nixa passed away Friday, July 31, 2015. He was born September 22, 1935 in Oilton, Oklahoma to Charles and Sylvia (Vance) Larkin. He was united in marriage to Audrey Rose Fairbanks October 1, 1955.
Harold worked hard all of his life. Some say work was his hobby. He worked construction in many facets as a general contractor. He managed a sliding glass door and window company. He worked in the oil fields in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. After he retired, he drove transport trucks with IWX to Kingman AZ a few times a week to keep from being bored. Harold liked fishing and hunting. Harold was always available when someone needed help. He had a dry sense of humor and would give someone a hard time not letting them know he was teasing. Harold liked to be given a hard time by others.
Harold is survived by his wife, Audrey, of 59 years; His three sons Deane Larkin, and his wife Valerie, of Tehachapi, CA, Dan Larkin, and his wife Arlene, of Palmdale, CA, and Darrell Larkin, and his wife Debbie, of Grayville, IL; seven grandchildren; and 17, great-grandchildren.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Gwendolyn Thien, and Helen Hutchinson; and a grandson Jeremy Larkin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
