Harold "Spike" Jackson

Harold "Spike"� Jackson, age 76, of Strafford, went home to be with his Lord and Savior March 21, 2013. He was born August 3, 1936 the youngest child of his parents Clarence and Jewel Stapp Jackson. Spike was raised in Bruner Missouri area. Spike was united in Marriage to Joann Millard Boatwright on August 12, 1961. They lived most of their fifty one years together in the Strafford area. Spike spent many years driving a truck for a living. He retired from Greene County Road Department. His favorite job was his auctioneer business. In Spike"�s retirement years he enjoyed going to Northview Missouri. Each Friday evening he enjoyed listening to music, eating good food, and fellowship with his friends. Spike was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Mary, Carl, Paul, Frances Dalton and Merle Iorg; his mother-in-law Thelma Millard; brother-in-laws, Raymond, Richard, and Bill Millard; sister-in-law Jaunita Nance; his grand-daughter Jennifer Boatwright was a great loss in his life, her passing was in 1997. Survivors include his wife Joann of the home; step-children Ellen Sue and husband Roger of Bruner, Scott Boatwright and his wife Aletha of Spokane; grandchildren, Amber Buckner, Kayla Boatwright and Gregg Smithson; great-grandchildren, Ian Smithson, Kennedy Smithson and Jennifer Lynn Buckner; father-in-law J.C. Millard of Springfield; brother-in-laws, Gene of Springfield, Dan of Arizona, David of California, and Mary Young of Springfield; many nieces and nephews and a very special nephew Allen Iorg. The family would like to thank Donnie and Becky Smith for their guidance to help Spike find a closer walk with the Lord. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Bruner Cemetery or Oxford Hospice. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, Missouri. Spike"�s funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 25, 2013 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Bruner Cemetery, Bruner, Missouri.
