Harlow "Woody" Greenwood, Jr., age 61, of Ozark, MO passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017. He was born January 5, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Harlow and Louella (LaFollette) Greenwood. Woody graduated from Parkway Central High School in St. Louis and attended the University of Missouri. Woody met Nancy Lynn Kates in Sunday school in Houston, TX, and they were married a year later on November 9, 1989.
Woody was a specialist in leak detection. He and his wife Nancy owned and operated American Leak Detection of Hawaii. Woody, Nancy, and their daughter Leah came to the Ozarks in 1999, where they operated American Leak Detection of Missouri. Most recently, he continued to specialize for a local pool company. Woody enjoyed the outdoors, landscaping, gardening, scuba diving, fishing, fossil collecting, and playing guitar. As a youth, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and later in life became a juried artist.
Above all, Woody loved the Lord Jesus, and he was devoted to his family. He accepted Christ as Savior in his early 30's and was a member of Second Baptist Church of Springfield.
Survivors include: His wife, Nancy; his daughter, Leah, who attends Patrick Henry College in Virginia; his brother, Geoffrey Greenwood of Brimfield, Illinois; his sister, Gail Greenwood of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews. His parents preceded Woody in death.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. held at Grace Classical Academy, 2438 E. Cherry Street, Springfield, Missouri, 65802. All are invited to the lunch immediately following the service. Arrangements are through Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
