H. A. Crumpley

H.A. Crumpley, age 90, docked his boat for the last time Sept. 27^th, 2023. He was born September 9, 1933 to Hurstal Alfred Crumpley and Effie Katherine Nokes in the same home he resided in for the majority of his life on Two Rivers Road in Highlandville. He was united in marriage to Charlcie Linebaugh November 14, 1951. Their 72^nd Anniversary was just around the corner.

H.A.’s farm was his playground, the place where he could have fun doing what he loved most… milking cows, putting up hay, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, fishing, fixing his machinery and hanging out with the love of his life, Charlcie. H.A. took great pride in producing the finest hay bales in the country. He was a mentor to many, teaching lessons of life with integrity, honesty and abundant enthusiasm. His work ethic was an inspiration to all who knew him.

H.A. loved his two sisters, Dorothy Katherine McDaniel and Stepha Sue Crumpley, and their memories remained sources of great comfort to him. H.A. and Charlcie mourned the loss of a baby boy named Stephen in 1952.

H.A. is survived by his wife Charlcie, his children Anita Beeler and husband Kerry of Nixa, Kathy Treesh and husband Keith of Old Hickory, TN; two grandchildren Heath Turpin and wife Emily of Bradenton, FL and Michael Treesh, Old Hickory, TN; two great granddaughters, Finley and Lilly Turpin of Bradenton, FL. H.A. is also survived by the best extended family and loyal friends anyone could ever hope for.

A visitation will be held at noon on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Greenhouse Two Rivers, Highlandville, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Greenhouse Two Rivers, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, officiated by Tom Van Someran. Burial will follow at White Cemetery, Highlandville.

Venue doors will be open starting at noon for visitation on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
