Grygoriy Matlashchuk

Grygoriy A. Matlashchuk, age 85, of Nixa passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was born October 12, 1932 in Lencovstsy, Ukraine to Andrey and Anna Matlashchuk. Grygoriy worked many years in commercial construction insulating pipes. He was kind, humble and a man of strong faith. He was a great example of how a man should live. During the communist regime it was illegal to hold church services. Grygoriy held prayer meetings in his home at great risk. In 2006, Grygoriy moved to Nixa to live with his daughter and son-in-law. Grygoriy was a member of the Bread of Life Church, Rogersville. He was very active in the church and loved serving the Lord. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Bread of Life Church, Rogersville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 29, 2018 at Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
