Gretchen Lynn Edwards

Gretchen Lynn Edwards (Martin) was born January 22nd, 1960 and left this earthly world on January 23rd, 2022. She is the daughter of James A and Patricia A Bixman Martin. Gretchen was born in Kansas City and lived there until moving to Forsyth, MO in 1968. Gretchen spent most of her adult life in the KC area. On November 23, 1984 Gretchen married the love of her life Andy and had one child, Tricia. Andy passed away in December of 2009 and Gretchen moved back to Forsyth shortly after his passing. Gretchen lived in Nixa, MO at the time of her passing. She was an avid reader and enjoyed telling stories about her life. Gretchen was a life long Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching football on Sundays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy; her parents James A. and Patricia A (Bixman ) Martin; and her only sister, Rebecca Howerton. Gretchen is survived by her daughter, Tricia of Holt, MO; her grandchildren Carson Jackson of Excelsior Springs and Kenna Bowers of Holt; two nieces Liz Trader (Josh) of Springfield and her daughters Tatum and Jayme; and Kristin Howerton-Grimes (Nate) and their children Kaylee, Zoey, and Ezra of Lebanon; a nephew Matt Howerton (Chelsea) and their 4 children Shelbie, Lexi, Bentley, and Aubriegh of Lebanon, MO.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
