Greggory Earl Plank, 56 of Rogersville, Missouri passed away at his home Sunday, July 17, 2016. Greggory was born October 23, 1959, the son of Jimmie Roger Plank and Verda Murray Plank.
Greggory grew up in the Nixa area, attended Nixa Schools, and after graduation was employed by Diversified Plastics until a diving accident on September 7th, 1985 left him a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the chest down.
Greggory's life after the accident was pretty bumpy but he never complained. He was very creative, often coming up with some little gadget or method to make life a little easier on a handicapped person. Greggory's passion was his enjoyment for cars and sports.
Greggory was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Jimmie R. and Roberta Plank.
Survivors include his mother, and stepfather, Verda, husband Doyle Cox, Rogersville, one brother, Stephen Plank, one sister Kathryn "Kitty" Lawson both of Ozark, one niece Dr. Shanda Dorff (Jon & Dalton) Shorevillle, MN, one stepbrother, David Cox (Sherry) of Independence, MO, two stepsisters, Cindy Rindt, Topeka, KS, Kayla Grosshart, Nixa, several step-nieces and nephews, and many friends and relatives.
At Gregg's request a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. July 20, 2016 at Frazier Cemetery in Boaz, Missouri under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ozark with Brother Larry Tidwell officiating. No visitation will be held, and the casket will remain closed. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children 4400 Clayton Avenue, Clayton, MO, 63110.
