Gordon LaVerne Hecker

Gordon LaVerne Hecker, age 76, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He was born June 2, 1934, in Corning, Missouri, the son of Edward Otis Hecker and Beatrice (Burris) Hecker. On June 19, 1953 he and Margie Mae Hines were united in marriage. Mr. Hecker retired from Hogan Construction Company in Papillion, Nebraska. He and Margie moved to Nixa in 2005. Survivors include: His wife, Margie; four children and their spouses, Susan and Lynn Masoner, Kansas City, Missouri, Karen and Jeff Robertson, Battle Lake, Minnesota, Edward and Sherri Hecker, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and Sandra and Oscar Alvarado, LaVista, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Becky, Emory, Deven, A.J., and Ana; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Gene Hecker, Denver, Colorado; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry, a brother, Kenneth, and his parents. Visitation will be from 4:00 ? 6:00 PM Friday, May 20, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A graveside funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 21, in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City, Missouri.
