Gerald "Buck" Meese

Gerald "Buck"� Meese, age 79, of Clever, passed away March 4, 2011 in his home. He was born August 7, 1931, the son of Milo and Lora (Keller) Meese. He was a U.S. Navy Korean Veteran. He was a shear and press-brake operator at Paul Mueller for thirty years. Gerald was a farmer. He dearly loved dancing and fishing, and enjoyed water skiing and playing with his kids and grandchildren. He loved people and his many friends were a special joy and blessing in his life. He and his wife Vera (Goans-McClanahan) were united in marriage on July 3, 1971. He was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife Vera; four children, Gary Meese and wife Jan, Mt. Vernon, Rickey Dale McClanahan and wife Carla, Clever, Rickey Wayne Meese and wife Tammi, Nixa, and Reta Fitzpatrick and husband Ron, Clever; one brother, Gene Meese and wife Dorothy, Bolivar; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; as well as a host of many friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Don and Alfred "Frost"�, and one grandson, Brett Hendrickson. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 8, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Reverend Jamie Bilyeu and Dave Stockland officiating. Burial will follow in Manley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 "� 7:00 PM Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Manley Cemetery.
