Gary loved GOD, Family and Church. Gary’s love for his family came second only to his love for GOD.
Gary is survived by the love of his life, his wife Janet; two daughters and two sons in law he loved as sons - his daughter, Sherry and husband Scott Campbell, grandson Jeremy and wife Julie Campbell, great grandsons Preston and Owen, granddaughter Crystal and husband Sam Medlock, all of Highlandville; his daughter, Shelly and husband Gerald Chambers of Ozark, granddaughter Alexandria and husband Tony Miriani, great granddaughter Mila of Jefferson City; granddaughter Hayley and husband Chris Lafferty, great grandson William (Louie) who will be playing with baby sister soon, of Spokane, granddaughter Lauren and husband Nathan Murfin, great grandson Daniel and great granddaughter Selah of Ozark. Gary is also survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law; Jan Bilyeu of Ozark and Joyce and Richard Long of Highlandville; several nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Virgil and Waunita Robertson and Myrtle Clayman Robertson. One sister and brother-in-law Delores and Don Hicks and brother-in-law Roy Bilyeu and infant nephew David Dwayne Tennis.
Gary was raised in a Christian home and knew about Jesus at a young age. As a junior boy in Sunday School, Gary recognized that Jesus loved him enough to die on the cross for his sins. Gary asked for forgiveness of his sins and asked Jesus to live in his heart. As Gary continued his Christian journey he surrendered to the Ministry at the age of seventeen during a revival meeting held at Chestnutridge Baptist Church. Under God’s leadership Gary served as pastor/shepherd in four Missouri churches. He served with precious brothers and sisters in Christ during 54 years of pastoral ministry.
