Gary Jay Bell, age 73 of Nixa, passed away November 18, 2014. He was born February 27, 1941 in Maywood, California, the son of Gerald and Mary (Chastain) Bell.
Gary was united in marriage to Carolyn Ague September 24, 1965, in Poteau, Oklahoma. Gary owned Bell Trucking Inc. in Van Buren, Arkansas and BELCOR Trucking in Springfield. He loved spending time with family and his grandchildren, and enjoyed car racing, golf, 18 wheel trucks, and traveling around the world. Gary was a fun person with many friends. He was a member of Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Ozark.
Survivors include: his wife; four daughters, Debbie Patrylick, Paris, Arkansas, Carrie Putnam, Austin, Texas, Vicki Perkins, Springfield and Shanda Louzader, Medina, Ohio; a son, Steve Bell, Nixa; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and his brother, Jimmy Bell, Van Buren, Arkansas.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Vint Bell.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 P.M. Saturday, December 20, 2014, in Edwards Van Alma Funeral Home, Van Buren, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Van Buren, Arkansas.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 504 Hightower Nixa, MO 65721.
