Gail E. (Campbell) Young

Gale E. (Campbell) Young, age 68, of Nixa, passed away peacefully March 17, 2011 in her home. She was born November 21, 1942, in Springfield, the daughter of Walter and Gladys (Wright) Campbell. She was a 1960 graduate of Parkview High School, and had served as Chairperson for the reunion committee. On November 11, 1962, she and Jerry Young were united in marriage. Gale and Jerry had owned and operated Jerry"�s Steak House and were associated with the restaurant industry for many years. She was an avid Cardinal fan, served as Historian for the Springfield Antique Collectors Club and was a member of the Independent Women"�s Group. Gale was also a devout follower of the traditional Roman Catholic Faith and a member of Mater Dei Catholic Chapel in Nixa. Survivors include: A son, Corbin C. Young, Parker, Colorado, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, in 2005, a sister, Linda Campbell, and her parents. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A graveside funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday at McCauley Cemetery, between Nixa and Ozark. Prior to the graveside funeral a private rosary and mass will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Gale Campbell Young Memorial Fund through Great Southern Bank.
