Fred Vandekerkhove

Fred Vandekerkhove, age 57, of Nixa, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013. He was born March 11, 1955, in Christopher, Illinois, the son of Fred and Marcellyn (Larkey) Vandekerkhove. The family moved to this area in 1966. Fred"�s career was in the electrical field. He was employed by the City of Nixa as a lineman for 16 years before becoming disabled. Fred was a proud member of NRA. He enjoyed car racing and NASCAR. Survivors include: His wife, Kathy; a son, Brandon Vandekerkhove and wife Kristy, Ozark; two grandchildren, Kendra and Brice; a brother, Terry Vandekerkhove and wife Carol, Battlefield; a sister, Luana Reno and husband Bob, Shell Knob; and his step-mother, Maxine Vandekerkhove, Nixa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie Riebesehl. A graveside funeral will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, in Roberts Cemetery, Sparta, with Rev. Joseph Fahl officiating.
