Frank Isiah Mease, age 85, of Ozark passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, in Bentonview Park Health and Rehab in Monett. He was born June 24, 1928, in Reeds Spring, the son of Eugene and Hazel (Stewart) Mease. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a Purple Heart recipient. On April 19, 1959, he and Mary Lou Caffey were united in marriage.
Throughout his working career Frank worked in construction. He was also a farmer, and always enjoyed the animals he took care of. He loved his family, and looked forward to spending time with his kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He liked to make others laugh, and always enjoyed a playful tease. Frank was saved in 1983 and became a member of Faith Baptist Church in Spokane.
Survivors include: His wife, Mary Lou; three daughters, Lonna Schupbach of Highlandville, Lisa Burns and husband Les of Ozark, and Lori Cloyd of Republic; nine grandchildren, Amanda Idell and husband Jason, Nikki, Michael, and Emily Schupbach, Jeremy Burns and wife Amber, Jason Burns and fianc�e Tamara, Jordan Braden and husband Bryan, Jared Burns, and Ryan Cloyd; five great-grandchildren, Olivia Schupbach, Gage Idell, Kherington Braden, and Bailey and Rylea Cloyd; eight sisters and brothers, Lorene Lowry and husband Bill, Phyllis Wildey, Rosella Butler, Naomi Combs, Ronnie Mease, Janice Estes and husband Ron, Jimmy Mease and wife Fern, and Judy Maggard and husband Harold; a sister-in-law Sheila Mease; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his twin brother, George Mease, a sister, Joann Hicks, an infant brother, Harold Mease, and his parents.
Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Wednesday, May 21, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial with full military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
