Francene Van Boening

Francene Gail Van Boening, age 62, of Ozark, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was born March 29, 1957, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Lewis Frank and Frances C. (Morton) Simpson. She attended Hillcrest High School. On January 29, 1981, she and Bruce Simon Van Boening were united in marriage. Francene's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved each family member, and her grandson, Braydn, was the best gift ever. She enjoyed all animals and would protect any that needed it. Fran loved the beauty of nature and making beautiful things. She enjoyed a wide variety of arts and crafts. Her devotion to others extended beyond family, she welcomed all others. She was "Mom" to everyone. Survivors include: Her husband, Bruce; two sons, Blake Van Boening and wife Brandy of Ozark, and Cory Van Boening and wife Bailey of Wichita Kansas; her grandson, Braydn; brothers and sisters, Donna Opperthauser and husband Don, Cindy Rogers and husband Clay, Lewis F. Simpson Jr, Nikki High and husband Denny, and Rick Simpson and wife Patsy; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by "Sweet Baby James". Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon Thursday, January 9, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A funeral service will follow at 12:00. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Willard.
