Floyd Reeves Stine

Floyd Reeves Stine, age 71, of Nixa, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, in his home. He was born September 2, 1942, in Springfield, the son of Edd and Lois (Hasty) Stine. Floyd served his county in the U.S. Army Reserves. On April 19, 1973, he and Sherry Maples were united in marriage. Floyd was a farmer throughout his life. He made his home south of Nixa, where he along with his family enjoyed working the land and raising cattle. Floyd liked to fish and hunt when possible. Survivors include: His wife, Sherry; two children, Amber Stine and husband William Sewell of Nixa, and Brad Stine and wife Melissa of Nixa; six grandchildren, Duncan, Colton, Sally, Jon, Anna, and Kaiden; a brother, John Stine of Nixa; two nieces; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Stine. A graveside funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 20, in Payne Cemetery, north of Nixa. Open viewing will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
