Flora Faye Johnson, age 93, of Ozark, passed away at Century Pines on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was born October 11, 1923 in Highlandville, the daughter of Oscar Edmond and Ina Belle (Dye) Winslow. On October 12, 1940 she and Basil Johnson were united in marriage.
Faye was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, her home away from home, for 60 years. She loved singing in the choir. She enjoyed family and friends stopping by for a visit, and made daily phone calls to check in on those she loved. She loved singing, taking walks, shopping, and was an avid whistler. She never left the house without wearing a pair of beads. Faye was a homemaker and worked at Hagale Garment Factory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil in 1999, two children, David Paul Johnson, and Richard Lee Johnson; three brothers, Clyde Winslow, Danny Winslow, and Benny Winslow, and a sister, Fern Stutesmun.
Survivors include: Three children, Dale Johnson of Ozark, Steve Johnson of Ozark, and Brenda Pruett and Roger Dunlap of Strafford; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Christman (Tim); Leslie Marble (John), Brian Atchison, Nikki Young (Dale), Lucas Johnson, Rhonda Langley (Teddy), Robin Blansit (Dione), Rick Johnson (Stacie), Anahlee Johnson (Clayton Bilyeu), Tina Johnson (Jeff), Tommy Johnson (Jennifer), Michael Johnson (Janie), and Kelly Callahan (Doug); three step-grandchildren, Mike, Brian and Brad Sportsman; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Stutesmun, and Patsy Skeen; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 31, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Bob Long officiating. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
