Ferne "Nanny"� Isbell, passed away October 17, 2012, in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born February 26, 1921, in Sparta, Missouri, the daughter of James and Lilly (Fletcher) McDaniel.
Ferne and her husband, Preston, owned and operated His and Hers Caf� in Sparta. She also worked for McBee in Springfield, and was employed as a cook for area nursing homes. She enjoyed being outside, hunting mushrooms or spending time at the lake. She also enjoyed a game of cards with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston, in 1988. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Joetta Jenkins and Becky Pennington; a grandson, Ken Jenkins; three sisters, Betty McDaniel, Beverly Campbell, and Freda King; and a brother Ronnie McDaniel.
Survivors include: Four grandchildren and their spouses, Jonna and Clay Loveland, Keith "Bub"� and Debbie Jenkins, David and Karla Hyde, and Mike and Paula Hyde, all of Sparta; 12 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Barbara Dooley and husband Eugene, Theda McDaniel, Donnie McDaniel, and Kathy McDaniel; a sister-in-law and best friends, Henrietta Isbell; a host of nieces and nephews; other relative,s and many friends.
A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in Sparta Cemetery with Pastor John Hyde officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
