Faye L. Maggard

Faye L. Maggard, 90, Sparta, Missouri passed away June 9, 2011 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born March 30, 1921 in Iowa, the daughter of George and Laura (Pruiett) Thompson. On September 25, 1939 Faye (Thompson) and Ira Maggard were united in marriage. She was a charter member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. Faye was a Homemaker, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother and known to many as "The Boss"�. Faye is survived by her daughter, Barbara Combs and husband Garland of Strafford, MO; son Kenneth Maggard and wife Patty of Sparta, MO; two sisters, Neva Sowards, Sparta, MO; Wanda Fern Maggard, Garrison, MO; one brother Donald Thompson and wife Virginia, Sparta, MO; seven grandchildren, Wayne Maggard, Marla Cook, Cammie and husband David Guerin, Melissa and husband Ralph Hutchinson, Carla and husband Rick Shipman, Teresa and husband Tommy West, and Kevin and wife Sue Comley; sixteen great-grandchildren, Tommy, Derek, Kenny Wayne, Shawn, Kathryn, David Lee, Nathan, Deanna, Misty, Rikki, Jacob, Nicholas, Melissa, Autumn, Richard, and Zach; and nine great-great grandchildren, Titas, Victoria, Kerrigan, Bradlynn, Creek, Wyatt, Lane, Morgan and Savanna, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ira Maggard; three brothers, Wayne Thompson, Carl Thompson, and Ray Thompson; a daughter-in-law Carolyn Maggard; a great-grandson Ethan Wayne Hutchinson; and a granddaughter Robin Lynn Maggard. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, MO with Reverend Bally Johnson and Pastor Michael Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Old Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home.
