Faith Phipps

Lora Faith Phipps, age 76, of Nixa, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012. She was born January 11, 1936, in Forsyth, the daughter of Lester and Merle (Stewart) Blansit. On February 14, 1953, she and Gary M. Phipps were united in marriage. Faith followed her husband throughout his ministry as an ordained Assembly of God pastor. Her love for children led her to Children"�s Ministry, where she taught, loved and shared her love for the Lord. She took the burdens of others as her own, and prayed for all. Her kitchen talents were known to both family and friends, and the smiles on the faces of those she served always delighted her. Survivors include: Her husband, Gary; three children and their spouses, Jim and Darlane Phipps of Nixa, Janet and Don McVey of Venice, Florida, and Steve and Vickie Phipps of Nixa; seven grandchildren, Tim, Lora, Keri, Tyler, Travis, Casey, and Hunter; a great-grandson, Tanner; and two sisters, Pat Thompson and husband Lloyd, and Martha Perkins and husband E.J. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gayla Sue, and her parents. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 30, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Gayle Cobb and Pastor John Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
