Everett E. Smith

Everett E. Smith, of Ozark, beloved husband, father, Poppy and friend, passed away January 11, 2011 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born January 29, 1943 to Everett and Irene Smith on the family farm in Ozark. Everett was married to Linda Cloud Smith. He is survived by: his wife, Linda; daughter, Marsha; son, Mark; five grandchildren, B.J Scholl and husband Justin, Jeremy Smith, Joshua Smith and Fianc�e Kayla Morton, Loren William Smith, and Madilyn Belle Smith; great granddaughter, Isabella Grace Scholl; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Dee Cloud,; special friends that words cannot describe, Wanda McMullin, Jackie Terrell, Barbara and Grady Lloyd and Helen Sims; and former daughters-in-law, Paige Kessler and Mary Smith. Everett was preceded in death by his parents Everett Smith and Irene Smith Marley and stepfather, John Marley, and friends, Richard McMullin and Rod Terrell. Everett and his friends were instrumental in getting the little league baseball program started in Ozark. After working all day they donated their time to building the ball diamonds in Ozark and coaching many young boys from the area. Everett was like a second dad to his children"�s friends while they were growing up - especially to Bruce Rathbun. Everett would do anything to help anybody. He loved cooking for his family and friends. After many years of suffering Everett is now free of pain. The best poker game is now being played with Everett, Richard and Rod. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Joe Fahl officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM Saturday until service time.
