Evelyn Bernice Shelton

Evelyn Bernice Shelton, age 96, of Ozark, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013, at The Waterford in Springfield. She was born February 25, 1917, the daughter of H.O. Wisner and Nona (McCafferty) Wisner Rhodes of Nixa. She was united in marriage to W.L. "Connie"� Shelton in 1936. Evelyn was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Ozark. During her employment years she worked for the City of Ozark Water Department and retired in 1987 from the ASCS office of the US Department of Agriculture in Ozark and Forsyth. She was a member of the Ozark OES Chapter #98. She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie, in 2001, a daughter, Shirley Melton, and a brother and his wife, W.A. "Barney"� Wisner. Survivors include: A son, Connie Shelton and wife Liz, of Ozark; five grandchildren, Shawn, Leanne, Lyn, Seth,and Simeon Shelton, all of Springfield; four great-grandchildren, Cameron, Triston, Olivia and Sarah; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 21, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Troy Rhoden officiating. Burial will be in McCoy Cemetery, Ozark. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Wednesday until service time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Integrity Hospice and Palliative Care.
