Evelyn was born Evelyn Fern Carroll, October 30, 1930, in Appleton City, MO. She passed away Dec 13, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO after suffering a stroke. Many people around Nixa loved her and enjoyed her smile and cheery greeting at Walmart's door through the years. She had recently retired from Walmart. Evelyn loved music and was always a supporter and fan of Gene and Alta's music career. She sold many of Gene's CD's to friends coming through Walmart's door. Evelyn was a crafter. She knitted, crocheted and did other crafts. Everyone loves the little dishrags she made in the evenings as she watched TV. Most of all, she was faithful to her Lord Jesus Christ and to her church. Her generosity and her big heart will never be forgotten. A memorial service for Evelyn will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 17, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will follow the service.
