Evelyn June Patrick

June 12, 1931 — November 22, 2021

Evelyn June Patrick was born June 12, 1931 in Hamilton, Kansas to the late Charles Edward Abbey and Iva Evelyn Melton Abbey. She went to the loving arms of God on Monday November 22, 2021 surrounded by the love and care of her family.


After graduation from Virgil High School in Virgil, Kansas in 1949, Evelyn moved with her parents and younger sister Charlon to land near Reeds Spring that had been homesteaded by her grandfather William Abbey.


Evelyn married Donald Patrick on January 26, 1951 and made their home near Spokane where they raised their children. They enjoyed traveling with their family and later in their retirement. Donald and Evelyn celebrated 69 years of marriage before his death in April 2019. By example they taught love of God, family, and friends.


Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, son-in-law Randy Baker, brother Harold Abbey, sisters and brothers-in-law Velma Bond (Jack), Margaret Watts (Bernard), Eleanor Lawry (Lowell), Charlon Maples (Orville), and nephews Jimmy Bond, Rockey Watts, David Maples, and Don Lawry.


She is survived by sons Mike Patrick (Linda), Kelly Patrick (Gwen); daughters Pam Cope (O.D.), Tracy Maples (Eugene), and Karen Baker; as well as 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Junior and Mary Jane Patrick; and special friend Susie Neal and her husband Gary.


Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday November 29, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home – Nixa. Burial will follow at Eisenhower Cemetery near Spokane, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Adams Funeral Home – Nixa.
