Evelyn E. Knudson

Evelyn Eleanor Knudson, age 78, of Nixa, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, in her home. She was born December 28, 1932, in Pettus, West Virginia, the daughter of Theodore and Macy (Miller) Cook. She served her country as a U.S. Marine in 1953 and 1954. On May 8, 1954, she and Daniel Knudson were united in marriage. Mrs. Knudson owned and operated Evelyn"�s Day Care in Branson West, and upon moving to Nixa, she worked at the Morning Star Daycare at Nixa First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include: Her husband, Dan: three children, John Knudson, Nixa, Judith Knudson, Nixa, and Jerry Knudson, Branson; seven grandchildren, Aubrey, John Nathan, Stephanie, Trevor, Amber, Jacqueline, and Tracy; five brothers; and one sister. Visitation will be from 6:00 "� 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 24, in Adams Funeral Home, with Chaplain Cliff Rawley officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
