Evelyn Kathleen “Kat” Keith, age 83 of Springfield, formerly of Shell Knob, passed away on April 30, 2021. She was born January 14, 1938 in Redford, Missouri, the daughter of Johnny and Nina Ruth (Vandaveer) Dement.
On December 11, 1954 she and William Benjamin Keith were married. Bill preceded Kat in death on February 14, 2017.
Kat and Bill purchased and operated a resort in Kimberling City for 10 years. In 2002 she and Bill moved to Shell Knob. They were members of the Elks Lodge in Kimberling City. Kat enjoyed crafting, quilting and anything sparkly. She attended Agape Life Fellowship.
Survivors include: two children, Scott Keith and wife Betty of Osage Beach; and Lorri Monohon and husband Rick of Springfield; three grandchildren, Kimmie Tyson and husband Justin of House Springs, Missouri, Caleb Allen and wife Kaeli of Prescott Valley, Arizona, and Benny Allen and wife Rachel of Aurora, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Kellan Allen, Connor Allen, Brock Tyson, Blaine Tyson and a granddaughter on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Kat was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Phyllis Scott and Loretta Barton; and two brothers, Larry Dement and Louis Dement.
Cremation is under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
