Ervin Lee "Grandpa" Keesling

Ervin Lee "Grandpa" Keesling, age 84 of Nixa, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014. Ervin was born March 26, 1930 in Denison, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Edna (Judy) Keesling. Ervin enjoyed woodworking, cruising on his drives out in the county and spending time with his kids, grandkids and their families. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nixa. Survivors include: his children, Tom Keesling and wife Donna of Iowa, Lee Keesling and wife Eva of Nixa and Mark Keesling and wife Holly of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Brandon and Amanda Keesling, and Darren, Andrew and Eric Keesling; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Keesling of Iowa; and a sister, Francis Ramadan of Iowa. Ervin was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Earl Keesling; and three sisters, Erna Aldag, Cleo Peters and Alice Keesling. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Redeemer Lutheran Church, Nixa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Adam Parvey officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 P.M. Wednesday, immediately before the service. Private burial at a later date.
