Ernestine Cox

Ernestine Cox, Springfield, MO passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at The Manor at Elfindale at the age of 93 years, 11 months. Ernestine married Ralph Cox in 1941. They were parents of Sheryl (Jim) Watts, Nancy (Danny) Phipps, and Tom(Deniece) Cox who survive. She was preceded in death by Ralph in 1992, her parents Tom and Ora Galloway, a brother, Ed Galloway, and a sister, Bunnie Powers. Survivors include: Grandchildren, J. Barry Watts, Keith Watts, Amy Phipps, and Matt Phipps, great-grandchildren, Madison, Sydnie, Grace, Kate, Jake Watts, Tyler Rollings, Sam Krause, and Tatum Ralph Phipps, and a great-great-granddaughter Raylynn Rollings. Ernestine was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and retired from Stone County Library. Ralph and Ernestine made their home in the Galena area until his passing. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Galena Cemetery Association at PO Box 182, Spokane, MO 65754. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 27, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Tuesday until service time.
