Ernest Wayne Wyatt, age 82 of Sparta, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 in his home. He was born January 25, 1930 in Ravenden, Arkansas, the son of Ernest and Alice O. (Butler) Wyatt. Wayne worked for Frisco/Burlington Northern Railroad for 46 years from 1946 until his retirement in 1992. He was chief dispatcher. He enjoyed being a mechanic as a hobby and working on old cars. Survivors include: his wife Joyce, Sparta; Jacki Braden and husband Larry, Marshfield, Pamela Prior and husband Michael, Nixa, Sandy Zeigler, Ozark, Cheryl Scrivner and husband Doy, Harrison, Arkansas, Debbie Dowling husband Patrick, Colorado, and Donna Stuart and husband Tim, Forsyth; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and Penny, his beloved dog. Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne Wyatt; two grandchildren, Melanie Ann Wyatt and Dwayne Zeigler; and his brother, Lloyd Wyatt. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Mike Bloomquist officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
