Erin Mantia, a vibrant soul whose warm heart touched the lives of many, passed away on June 19, 2023. Born on November 12, 1982, in Independence, Missouri. Erin's journey was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Growing up in Independence, MO, Erin attended Truman High School, where she graduated in 2001. She pursued higher education at Longview Community College before moving to Springfield to attend Ozark Technical College and graduated from Missouri State University.
After graduation, Erin joined Benefits Unlimited, where she discovered her passion for working with people and embraced the challenges of her role. For the next 17 years she loved going into the office to spend her weekdays with her second family as the Director of Individual Marketing.
In 2006, Erin met Chuck Mantia, they were wed in 2014, starting a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Together, they created a loving home and welcomed two precious children into their lives, Zaven, and Zaylee.
As a child, Erin displayed her boundless energy and talent as a member of the Junior Dragons team with the Great American Gymnastic Express in Blue Springs, Missouri. She fearlessly tagged along after her three brothers, proving time and again that she could do anything they could do. During her high school years, Erin showcased her versatility as a member of the drill dance squad and volleyball team.
Erin had a passion for fashion, and treasured the time spent with her family, fun-filled moments at the lake and family get-togethers. Erin took great pride in watching her children and their friends excel in soccer and gymnastics, and always rocking the best of the Sporting Springfield gear.
Erin Mantia will be deeply missed by her husband, Chuck, her children, Zaven and Zaylee, her parents, Tim and Terry Saxton, and her brothers, Paul, Chris, and Eric. She will also be remembered fondly by her extended family, including Chuck's parents, Tim and Sandra Evers, and his siblings, Kelly Glass and Mitchell Evers, Kelly's husband, Jacob Glass, and their son, Oliver Glass.
Services to honor Erin's life will be held on Saturday, June 24, at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, Missouri, with visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and a funeral service following visitation from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Following the service, a celebration of life will take place at Finley River Park, at the Red, Yellow, and Blue pavilions, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
In honor of Erin's vibrant personality and unique style, attendees are encouraged to wear purple or animal print, Erin's favorite color and patterns.
