Emil Carroll Gann, age 84, of Ozark, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013. He was born December 8, 1928, in Sparta, the son of Charley Leo and Zelma (Gibson) Gann. On June 17, 1950, he and Barbara Troutt were united in marriage.
Emil was a building contractor, both residential and commercial. A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Ozark, he supervised the construction of the 1992 building project of the church. He taught Sunday school for 47 years, and was a Gideon. God and family were the priorities throughout Emil"�s life. His hobbies were model trains and hunting.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 63 years, Barbara; two sons, Russell Gann of Nixa, and Steve Gann and wife Beverly of Chestnutridge; a daughter Wendy Kerns and husband Bob of Hollister; a daughter-in-law, Jan Newman and husband Roger of Ozark; nine grandchildren, Matt Gann and Beth, Mark Gann and Rochelle, Tal Kroll And Robbie, Josh Kerns and Tara, Melanie Davis and Trevor, Randall Gann, Cody Gann, Sarah Robison, and Daniel Richison; six great grandchildren, Braxton and Brock Gann, Sophia and Hunter Gann, Ella Kroll, and Violet Kerns; three brothers, Dale Gann and wife Nelda of Ozark, Don Gann and wife Marilyn of Ozark, and Danny Gann of Denver; a sister Leola Christman and husband Charles of Marshfield; Barbara"�s brothers and sisters, Daylon and Ellen Troutt of Clever, Myrlen and Irene Troutt of Rolla, Delores and Jim Willier of Edina, Annette Troutt of Waynesville, Ron and Lil Troutt of Edina, and Eddie and Kay Troutt of New London; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Paul, and his parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 29, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Troy Rhoden and Rev. Jim Jeffries officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 PM Monday in the funeral home.
