Emery Lee Ford, age 85, of Nixa, passed away June 21, 2018 in his home. He was born September 20, 1932 in Protem, MO the son of Basil and Edith Ford. On July 29, 1955 he was married to Vonda Herndon and they shared 62 years of marriage.
Emery was the owner of Em's Garage for 30 years. His favorite past time was fishing, especially at Tucker Hollow Boat Dock, trying to catch "the big one".
Emery is survived by his wife, Vonda; son Kelly Ford and wife Opal of Nixa; daughter, Pam Ramsey and husband Mike of Ozark; two grandchildren, Jennifer Ramsey and Jessica Walker and husband Will; two step-grandchildren, Andrea Russell and Meghan Marlin and husband Marshall; five great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Morgan, Maverick, Mae, and Jayton; sisters, Dorothy McConnell, and Judy Galloway and husband Bill; and nephew Chad McConnell and wife B.J.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vergie and Mary Herndon, and brother-in-law, Tom McConnell.
The family would like to thank all who came to visit Emery during his sickness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 23, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Delaware Cemetery.
