Elizabeth Johnston

Elizabeth Johnston 94 of Nixa, Missouri passed away Monday evening in the Nixa Christian Health Care .She was born on July 28, 1916 in Abesville, Missouri, the daughter of Ernest and Minnie Pritchard Eutsler. A life long native of the area, Elizabeth was united in marriage in 1932 To Ernest Johnston. The Johnston and Holt Grocery Store was established in Abesville where Elizabeth and her sister Merle Holt worked for many years. She was an adventurous individual. She excelled in cooking, sewing, and loved to travel . She was employed in the Galena School District , where she enjoyed cooking with her sister Mabel Shirkey. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, and ten brother and sisters. She is survived by her brother John Eutsler and his wife Emma of Nixa. Her sister Iretta Andoe of Wood River, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews: Jeana Siler (Jim) of Nixa, C.J. Shirkey of Springfield and J.E. Holt of Abesville. A graveside service will be held on Friday June 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eishenhour Cemetery with Rev Chad Mattingly officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations in her memory to the Villas at Forest Park and the Nixa Christian Church .
