Elizabeth "Bibs" Breazeale

Elizabeth Hilton Draper Joslyn Breazeale, (Bibs), was born February 18, 1913, in Lebanon, Missouri, to Arthur P. and Annie Laurie (Hilton) Draper. She died March 7, 2011 in Ozark, Missouri, just past her 98th birthday. Bibs was the youngest of her parents"�six surviving children, all of whom preceded her in death. On May 14, 1933, in Lebanon, she was married to David Earl Joslyn, and to them five children were born. After Dave"�s death in 1950, Bibs married Howard T. Breazeale, (Hoot), on August 14, 1952, of Ozark. He preceded her in death in 1998. Bibs was a homemaker while her children were small, then worked as a caseworker, later supervisor, for the Christian County Welfare Office, now the Division of Children"�s Services. She retired in 1974, after 23 years of service. She loved laughter, travel, music and dancing, with an interest in each grandchild and every member of the family. She was a long-time, active member of the Ozark Presbyterian Church. Bibs had the knack of putting people at ease, and could strike up a conversation anywhere. She shone with a bright, loving spirit that will be missed by all who knew her. Bibs is survived by her children, Carolyn Doyle of Columbia, Betty and husband Jim Forrester of Springfield, Dorothy and husband Bob Thurman, Springfield, Diana and husband Robert Betz, Neosho, and David and wife Elaine Joslyn of Kansas City, and by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephew, friends and neighbors. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, in Ozark Presbyterian Church under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark with Phyllis Winzenried officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM "� 3:00 PM Saturday immediately before the service in the church.
