Elisa “Lesa” Diann Duran, a vibrant soul of 52 years, gracefully departed this world on March 3, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, where she began her journey on November 24, 1972.
The celebration of her life was marked by a profound love, especially on December 15, 2001, when she exchanged vows with Charles Duran, Jr. amidst the breathtaking beauty of Aspen, Colorado. Their union was a testament to love's enduring strength and delight.
A dedicated member of Thrive Church in Nixa, Lesa’s heart was as expansive as the skies she admired. As a physician assistant at Cox Breast Care Center, she poured her compassion into caring for others, embodying the spirit of a true healer. Her infectious smile and spirited personality made her a cherished friend to many. Lesa found joy in the rhythm of life through music and dance, embraced the challenges of her CrossFit community, and celebrated adventures with her family and friends, with trips to Florida holding a special place in her heart.
Lesa leaves behind an incredible legacy in the hearts of her family: her devoted husband, Charles Duran of Springfield; her treasured mother, Regina (Jeanie) Anderson of Nixa; her beloved children, Kacey Anderson and wife Natalia of Nixa, Hannah Kosaski and husband Hunter of Michigan, and Hunter Duran and wife Keegan of Springfield. Her grandchildren, Braylin Anderson, Maverick Duran, and an anticipated little one, Grayson Anderson, will forever hold the sweetest memories of their grandmother. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Anderson and wife Natassia of Colorado, treasured aunts E. Eyvon Sanders and Patricia (Patty) Hughes, her supportive in-laws, and an extensive network of cousins, family, and friends who will carry her spirit with them.
Preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Norman and Alyce Hughes, Lesa's generous spirit and kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Join us in honoring her remarkable life during a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at Thrive Church in Nixa, where Pastor Andrew Sissel will guide us in remembering her beautiful soul. Arrangements are under the care of Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, and cremation rites will be entrusted to Adams Crematory. Burial will be in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield, at a later date.
In place of flowers, those wishing to honor Lisa’s memory can contribute to the Thrive Church Building Fund, a fitting tribute to a woman who cherished her community and the light it brought to her life.
