Elbert (Bus) Flavius Wilcox, age 91 of Ozark, passed away April 17, 2020. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 17, 1928, son of Elbert F and Amy K (Kirth) Wilcox.
On July 11, 1951 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Jean Wilcox (nee Queen). He served in the United States Navy for four years. After that he obtained his engineering degree from Kansas State University. He then took his young family to Colorado where he resided until he retired in 1983. After retirement, he moved to Ozark.
Affectionately known as Gramps, he enjoyed bicycling, leisurely drives in the country, reminiscing with family, and sharing a meal with family.
Survivors include: five children, Michael and wife Edie, Kansas, Julie Wilcox, Virginia, Russ and wife, Emily, Texas, Tim and wife Lisa, Colorado, and John, Ozark, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Bus was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jean.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held in Missouri Veterans Cemetery as soon as allowed, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
