Eileen Frances Uhrig, aged 75, left this world on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 to reside with her Lord in heaven. She was born to Dolores and David Wright on January 23, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was united in marriage to her cherished husband, John Francis Uhrig, for 54 years. Before retiring in 2007, she worked as the Deputy Treasurer for Christian county.
She was, above all, a devoted wife, one half of a whole and happy marriage. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren treasured her singular ability to love unconditionally. She had an eye for intricate details in beautiful things and truly enjoyed square dancing. Eileen was a woman for whom love and forgiveness came easily. Her home and heart were always open to family and friends. Nicknamed Nanny and Winnie Pooh by her grandchildren, she was the warm center of large and growing family.
She is survived by: Her husband, John Uhrig of Ozark, MO; her children, Tamara Selsor, Jeffrey Uhrig, Sheila Gardiner, and Monica Hunter; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, December 13, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 14 also at the church. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery, Ozark. Arrangements under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
