Edward John Buechler

Mr. Edward John Jakob Buechler, age 75, of Ozark, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church passed away March 11, 2012. Loving husband of Geraldine K. Buechler, dear son of the late Jakob and Hattieanna (Reitz) Buechler, dear brother-in-law of Mary Jane Lambrechts, Barbara Wiatt and the late George H. and Virginia McCartney. On September 16, 1967 he and Geraldine K. McCartney were united in marriage. Ed was a machinist and prototype toolmaker. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Wisconsin and the USS Forrestal. Ed enjoyed playing pool and gardening. He was especially proud of his delicious tomatoes. Survivors include; his wife Geraldine K. Buechler, Ozark. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to express their thanks to the caring staff of Ozark Riverview Manor for their caring and compassionate support. A funeral mass will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, Ozark, with Father Saviour Nundwe officiating. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with full military honors. Viewing will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday, in the church.
