Edna Jackson, age 89, of Columbia passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015. She was born Edna Peerman October 22, 1925 in Solitude, Indiana. She married William Jackson April 12, 1942. William joined the Army in August 1943. Edna and William traveled the world during William's 22 year career in the Army. William and Edna retired from the Army in 1969, moving to Ozark. Edna was a beautician and a housewife. She loved being a housewife and mother, taking care of her family, and making wonderful memories for her children and grandchildren.
Edna is survived by her sons James Jackson, his wife Shirley, of Bloomfield, IN and Robert Jackson, and his wife Melinda, of Columbia; a daughter Lourie Trinkle of Bloomington, IN; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons Ralph Jackson, and Rayford Jackson; a brother Harley Peerman; and a sister Elva Rush.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
