Edmund M. Mullen, age 55, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, in St. Louis. He was born to Vernard and Betty (Miller) Mullen June 23, 1958, in Mason City, IA. Ed and the love of his life, Pam Tranbarger, have been together for over 25, years. Ed had his own painting business, Mullen Painting. Ed loved Harley motorcycles, hot rods, canoeing, hunting, and fishing. Ed was a free spirit, and loved to travel.
Ed is survived by the love of his life, Pam; his daughter Freedom Bassett, of North Dakota; father Vernard Mullen, and wife Shirley, of Nixa; mother Betty Duenas, and husband Vince, of Riverside, CA; two grandchildren, Breken Green and Hayden Bassett; father-in-law Robert Tranbarger, of West Sacramento, CA; brothers, Randy Mullen and his wife Marti, of Rogersville, Terry Mullen and wife, Lisa, of Canoga Park, CA, Steve Mullen, and his wife Cindy, of Big Bear, CA; his sister Cynthia Speth and her husband Mike, of Eugene, OR; and several nieces and nephews.
Ed is preceded in death by his grandparents Alfred and Elsie Miller; a brother-in-law Bill Tranbarger; and a mother-in-law JoAnn Tranbarger.
A visitation will be held at 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, following the visitation, in the funeral home.
