Edith Fern Henry, age 87, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Springfield. She was born to Thomas and Verla (Rose) Caffey in Phillipsburg, Missouri, on February 9, 1926. She was saved at the age of nine and was baptized in 1938. Edith and William Henry were united in marriage in 1947. She was a member of Park Crest Baptist Church in Springfield. Edith was an excellent seamstress, and worked at Savage Juliet until it closed. She also enjoyed crocheting, growing roses, and cooking. Edith was greatly loved and will be missed by all her family. She is survived by: One son, Don Henry and his wife Jodi, of Marionville; two daughters, Debra Clamors and husband Ron, of Springfield, and Dee Ann Perkins, of Nixa; five grandchildren, Shayla Alumbaugh, Shanna Perkins, Justin Clamors and wife Angie, Linsey Eshelman and husband Jim, and Lance Henry and wife Robyn; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Chandler, Hannah, Preston, Addison, Brynn, and Hayden; one sister, Mary Lou Mease and husband Frank of Ozark; several nieces, and nephews. Edith is preceded in death by her husband William, who passed away in December of 1996, a grandson Jason Clamors, a sister Pauline Caffey, and two brothers, Leonard and Lloyd Caffey. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Thursday, April 25, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will be 2:00 PM Thursday, in Lonesome Hill Cemetery, Phillipsburg. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Thursday until service time in the funeral home.
