Eddie Lee Patrick, born October 26, 1942, to Calvin and Nola (Rogers) Patrick of Nixa, Missouri, entered this world as the pride and joy of his parents. He was their only child, and his early years were spent close to home, attending grade school in Abesville, Missouri. At the tender age of 13, Eddie tragically lost his mother to cancer. His loving grandparents, Fred and Janie Rogers, stepped in to raise him, moving him to Nixa where he found comfort in the family farm and graduated from Nixa High School in 1961.
During high school, Eddie met the love of his life, Coralee (Mynatt) Patrick, whom he would marry after being named "Most Romantic Couple" by their classmates. They began their journey together in a small house on Belmont Street in Springfield, eventually welcoming a son, Michael, in 1970. As their family grew, so did their need for space, leading them to build a home in Nixa, where Eddie would reside until Coralee's passing.
In June of 2021, Eddie found companionship once more with Arlean Rogers, with whom he shared his later years. They moved together to southwest Nixa, close to the very farm where Eddie had so many fond memories growing up.
A proud veteran, Eddie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His high school years were also marked by his talent on the basketball court, with his name still adorning banners in the Nixa High School gym.
Eddie had a successful professional career in the gas and oil industry, working for Madden Oil, Scrivner Oil, and eventually serving as General Manager for Morris Oil. Outside of work, Eddie had many passions. He loved motorcycles and classic cars, often spending weekends tinkering in his garage or riding the open road. He also had a deep love for woodworking, crafting beautiful pieces that he shared with friends and family over the years.
Generosity was one of Eddie’s defining traits. Whether lending a hand to a neighbor or making sure loved ones were taken care of, Eddie was always there. His kindness extended to everyone who crossed his path, leaving a legacy of love and selflessness that will be remembered by many.
On October 18, 2024, Eddie was called home to join his parents, grandparents, Uncle Clyde Rogers, Aunts Opal Maples and Velma Henne, and nephew Scott Mynatt in Heaven. He leaves behind a host of loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Surviving are his significant other, Arlean, of the home; his devoted son, Mike Patrick, of Branson; sister Betty Tennis, of Nixa; brother-in-law, Dick (Dian) Mynatt, of Liberty Center, Indiana; nieces Jeni Miller, of Nixa, and Julie (Chris) Desper, of Indiana; nephews David (Logan) Mynatt, of Indiana, Carter (Rydell) Mynatt, of Marshfield, and Jake Mynatt, of Nixa; Aunt Erma Stockman, of Texas; and many beloved cousins, great-nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 21, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. The family looks forward to greeting and sharing memories with all who knew and loved Eddie. A private burial will take place at Delaware Cemetery in Nixa, with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Cox Hospice or a charity of your choice.
